Promoting Your Site On Forums

If you do use forums, be sure to check out their rules - we don't want extra work deleting links against the rules now do we.

Just make sure you abide by the rules and do your promoting in the right place on a forum 😉
 
Banner advertising on forums are good to generate traffic. But if you are looking for signature advertisements beware that you will receive lots of unwanted traffic on your website.
 
How about starting a threads? It can give you more exposure than just posting in someone else's thread.
 
Yeah or just invest some time into doing some decent SEO, there is a thread on how to do this within this forum. As i feel it's very effective if done right and you don't even need to invest a toan of cash into it in order to get your website exposer.

The forum is one good way of promoting your site especially if your theme is related to the forum's theme. However, you cannot just post to promote your site because the standard in forums is "no personal advertising." But maybe the admin will relent if you are a valued member of the community and you ask their permission first before posting.
 
Forums have a great way to promote your website. People do not understand the value of forums, but if they know the value of it, they can work in a better and more serious way.
 
Forum signatures might be way more trustworthy than shady traffic (10,000 visitors for $1). I mean, at least you know the source and its legitimacy.
 
To put it simply, you interact with other people in the community's for your niche, and don't go for just the stereotypical ones either. Diverge. Explore.

One of the problems I've found with the forum software developers for the major forum software is that many seem to group around one admin forum and don't really promote much elsewhere.

They'll just drop one topic down once a year and vanish into thin air. Just because you're successful doesn't mean further promotion isn't useful.
 
I promote mine on a number of Niche boards, mine is a community general type board, but ill join other boards away from that platform, ill join in on theirs before i promote mine. I have had people join mine, not read the affiliate rule, plugged their site and go. They don't last long cause i don't see the point in joining just to plug.
 
why an old topics been brought up again. When promoting on site's I always look at there traffic and whatnot before I go ahead if it's paid
