In the midst of the Pink Scare of 2012, I'd like to announce a new feature here on FP--our Promotion Directory! 😀

Instead of our old advertisement method (Basic Promotion) where all topics were in the same place, you can now post your topic in the main Promotion Directory forum and have it moved to an appropriate category. That way, people who are more likely to join your forum will be able to find it more easily!

The old topics from Basic Promotion have been hidden from public view. We encourage you to make a new topic in the Promotion Directory. HOWEVER, if you wish to have your old topic "restored" and moved to an appropriate category, there is a Community Matters thread where you can request to have it restored.

As part of this change, Forum Sponsor topics will last for ONE MONTH instead of one week. If you currently have a black username, you can PM me to have your topic stickied for an additional three weeks.

Keep in mind that this feature is in its testing phases, and there are more than likely going to be a few bumps in the road. Please feel free to PM me or make a Community Matters post if you see anything wrong with it.

Thank you, and I hope that you enjoy our new feature! 🙂 If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Thank you. We hope that this will help people get more traffic to their sites. 🙂

Great switch, I've always wondered why you didn't do it this way. haha.

I personally think the topics should be moved on request instead of new topics being made, seems more logical and won't mean there's heaps of topics and posts hidden as opposed to what the forum statistics say.

Nice addition, it's an optimal balance of what was suggested in relation to this feature in the thread on, "Something I want to see on FP is... "

Great choice, in my opinion. I wish everyone good luck with their site with this new system. 😀

I'm still freaking out over the pink usernames
This.

Neat update though, I'll think I'll ask for my affiliate links to be sent back but I'll make new threads for my sites!

I love the new service. It'll definitely be better for forum owners to get "real" members. This is why. When members are looking for forums they may be interested in posting on and say they only like gaming they'd go into the Gaming sub-forum for a variety of gaming forums and find one they like. 😀
