Promotion for a gaming forum

I believe you can only advertise if the page you are advertising is creative meaning it is made by you, and hve some creativity in it like fan art, writing, or a community, and not dedicated to making money like an online shop or eBay item selling listing website.

Does anyone have any advice for promotion ideas on getting new members geared toward a gaming forum? I personally think that is the hardest thing to do when it comes to a website, is getting new members, or activity on a site... :shrug:

Use exchanges, buy posts for your forum. You can make a good profit in activity of your forum, for a good price, too. Also add an arcade, mini-games attract fun gaming people.

Try going on the xbox page on facebook or other big games and going on posts by everyone. You can usually post there and get some good coverage if you stay there for a while!

If you play on the XBOX360 on live just message all recent players about your forum, it's a great method for gaming forums
