Do you notice that most of the promotion forums that been advertised in FP don't have a TLD?

I don't believe thats true. Also, FP started off without a TLD, so its nothing ironic etc.

Why buy a TLD straight away, most wait to see if their board actually gets the traffic and activity first.

I think its the fact that anyone thinks they'll create a forumotion forum and it'll be as popular as FP in 10 minutes. And the forum will close in about a month anyways so there's no point buying a TLD.

Why stereo type as Promotion? Many boards here are on a subdomain or co.cc because you don't want to waste money on a domain when the site might turn out to be something you close up in a few day.
