It seems like not many promotion forums allow people to trade in credits for cash. Is there a reason for not doing this? I feel like it would increase activity levels quite a lot. Are there any forums that do this? I have heard of forumcoin but the forum seems to be quite inactive.

Money, why else? Do you think a forum would be able to sustain itself, and the owner be able to pay for the continuance of that said forum, if it is on a paid host, if people could turn their forum credits into physical cash?
I know I wouldn't be able to do that, considering once a forum gets active, and allot of people want to do that, it would make me want to consider closing down the forum, in order to not go broke.

I see what you mean. However if the forum did not have crazy inflation and found a balance between prices then I am sure this wouldn't be a huge problem. Maybe make credits harder to earn while cashing out for real currency would be quite expensive. Combine that with good priced posting packages and I don't see any problems. It would be like the average promotion site except people more eager to earn real currency could do just that by spending lots of time on the forum therefor generating more activity.

Not the same, but this forum allows members to buy a domain name with their forum credits/cash. It can be done, I just don't think there are many forums that do it.

Yeah, but wouldn't a forum have to be bringing in a ton of revenue just to even consider making something like this possible? Because like the one poster said, while something like this would benefit not only the community, but also the owner as well, as they're raking in more money at the same time, I'd imagine it would be very easy to go for broke in a hurry. Especially if the owner decided to turn into a diamond gem and start asking for too much money/forum credits that the members don't have. I hope I'm explaining this right?
