Promotion Forum

My suggestion would be to think of something unique that your forum can offer, before deciding on a domain name, forum sections, etc. Try to think of something that will be of value to your members and make you stand out from the existing competitors.

As many have said, a promotion forum is not a good idea. Especially when there are a gazillion others.
I'm sure what you'll offer at your site other sites such as Forum Promotion offer as well, and are even more reputable than a site that is just starting.
Good luck, though. If promoting is where your heart is, and that's your passion, maybe a unique marketing forum would be cool; with forum promotion resources and services.

^^ What Mr. Hero has said. I've joined up with promotion sites to promote my own forum in the past, and from my standpoint, they all offer basically the same thing. That's why I enjoy FP so much. I've gotten the best results out of FP than any other promotion forum (other than Forum Advertiser when it was opened).

And yes, I tried my luck with a promotion forum, but I decided not to go through with it, as I was thinking of all the trouble sites like Forum Advertiser went through when it came to obtaining and keeping staff, and it's really not worth it. I'd say you're better off with a more easier and much attainable genere. Wow, what's with me and the big words tonight, lol...

i'll be theezy for now 😉 lol, there's no reason why he can't open a promotion forum as long as his does not go down like you have said. most promotion forums out there had activity for the first 2 days then it goes dead... maybe his would become big and maybe bigger the fp 😛 lol. cause out of most out there only a few made it to the top.

i once thought of making a promotion forum but then backed down because of there being too many
^ :rofl:, then i went on to a general chat forum (made but not going so well), now im stuck on what kind of forum idea i can make and become a hit 🙁. (i only got technology, admin, website and those :shrug:

Yes, promotion forums die so easily. I think its because members register then leave. There needs to be something that keeps them coming back.
High turnover of posters = lack of community feel. Something that I personally look for when registering at a site

I opened mine in the midst of all the promotion forums :shrug:
You need to stay with it, find dedicated staff and do something different. I am tired of hearing stuff like DONT MAKE IT. You can make it, General Forums are actually more popular than promotion forums, there are other forums other than advertised here at fp everyone 😉
Making it is not a bad idea, do not get discourged. think of it like a Pizza Place. there are millions of pizza places across the globe making it big, so why can only one promotion forum be the answer and all other forums be ok to make?

Offer something that helps your users, you will see in my blog coming up that placing links on your site will not be as effective and no one will use it because your site isn;t used or seen much. Benefit their forum with services that increase their stats.
