For a long time I've been told that the 'forum promotion' niche is saturated. But is it really?

I'm opening a forum soon, so the other day I was looking for promotion forums where I could advertise my forum once it's open. Besides FP, I couldn't find any forums that specialise in 'forum promotion', or atleast any good ones. Sure, there is a good amount of 'webmaster' forums out there but most webmaster forums have drifted away from the concept of allowing people to promote their own forums on their forum.

If you know of any 'forum promotion' forums, please enlighten me.

The ultimate question: has the 'forum promotion' niche become desolated over the years?

I don’t know of any other promotion/advertising forums other than FP. Is Promotion Sea still around? There are plenty of webmaster forums with an advertising section, but I don’t know if any communities that are solely dedicated to advertising services. The niche has slowly faded away over the last decade.

Though, I agree - I think FP is really the only advertising related forum out there for webmasters. Like Cameron said, there are a lot of webmaster forums, and general discussion forums as well, that have a promotion directory somewhere which is nice and I think is really only there to help attract other members. 😛 FP has, and will continue, to dominate this particular niche. It's a hard niche to get into and maintain.

Don't be put off. Having a competitor is a good thing. It keeps you sharp and gives you a goal. Good luck and let us know when you've launched.

One point: You're going to need a hook. Something which sets you a part and gets you noticed. Do you know what that is?

It used to be very saturated back in the day but as many others have said...FP is really the only one still kicking. It'd be good to see one or two pop up but some uniqueness would be necessary.

Nope, not the only one. But the only one that has most members base and content. The other site that gets very active is webmastersun
