I've tried everything, topic bumping, signature, telling friends, going on other forums, everything. ANd my forum's only got around 5 members new. And most of them are not that active. Thankfully there'sa few FP members who did join and were/are active. But it's fairly small and the forum is dying. I just don't get it, my admin buddy has tried multiple ways too. But people are just not interested. I understand it's not perfect, but, at least we're trying. The theme may be a bit more geared towards gun lovers, but most of the people there aren't die-hard gun/military fans. In my opinion, it's still fun to post. But I have no idea what to do now, I'm completely lost, I really wish this forum can live on, but now I just feel there's no hope. And I've not been able to get on FP lately due to college apps and everything.

ANy advice would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know what your issue is. You have 2,500+ posts with only 38 members. That is really, really good. Things may not be that active but you're off to a good start either way.

Forums have slow stages they all do. My most loved forum I have made: AdminCentral.org is very slow now which sucks but you just have to be patient and dedicated.

Here's a list of forums you can promote on: http://admincentral.org/topic/235-list- ... howcasing/

As for your theme, I love it. Very nice and clean.

Don't be discouraged, just keep at it. Make at least a few posts every day yourself. Whilst doing that make some promotion threads and maybe try a few post exchanges just here and there to keep some new content flowing whilst you're trying to get members.

In regards to the exchange, if you haven't tried Postloop it might be good for you. Here's a link: http://www.postloop.com/invite/karoshio
Yes it's my referral 🙂 You don't have to go to it but if you do it's highly appreciated.

Doing the above will help but don't go to overboard with it, just use these methods to build some content whilst promoting. This will show users who are really interested that there is some good activity going on.

Hope some of what I said helps. 🙂

Thanks a lot man, this will surely help me. I have an account on Postloop, but I never actually used it for my forum, will look into it. Thanks a lot though for that list of promotion sites, will be a great help. 🙂

No problem. 🙂 Hopefully they will help a bit, some may be dead now as I need to update that list but either way most should be there.

Feel free to message if I can help you further.

postloop will probably help but not sure if a member in postloop is actually a gun lover. Lots of them are just post on off topic or general forums.

what i'd probably do in your situation is to posts some great gun images forum and discuss about it. or make some topics discussing how to create an improvise guns.

take pictures of these guns, make videos and posts it in youtube of post the images with your watermarks on it in some counter strike forums.

I'm not that much of a gun guy to actually improvise and actually publicly showcase the use of guns. I do go to shooting ranges from time to time, but I don't think that'd be much for videos.

Sorry nothing is working for you, but I think you're forum is doing well, and you just need to stay dedicated, good luck, from a webmaster suffering from the same problem.

I think one of the main problems(just my thought) is that 90-95% of this community doesn't care for army, military, or ect so most people will pass it by.

I think it would be best to try and promote it some place with lots of people that like army and ect you could get better results there.

BTW check your PM on AH.
