Hey, anybody have any tips that they'd like to share with me in order to get this site really going? It's active and everything, most of my members are online everyday. It's also an RPG forum
make sure that the empty sections at least has 1-3 new topics. Make a nice signature that is very persuasive and use it on other forums to attract more members.
I'd agree with that and feel that you really need to merge some of your forums. You have too many individual forums for a new board and if you merge some of them all of your forums will have more posts.
Try to group related forums for now into a major forum, and so reduce the number of visible forums. Having a long forum page, where there are still many forums with 0,1,2,3 posts won't look good. You have to let members know where to post and not get confused, so making broad sections for now would be better, and you will get more posts.
