PromotionShock, IPB to XF

Hey Nation!

Well, as some of you may know, PromotionShock suffered a database error where one of our SQL tables had a table that wasn't right and when I went to restore our backup from July 6, the system used to make automatic backups didn't do it right from the Cpanel and thus having me restoring a corrupted file. Restoring that database obviously made some huge problems. So, to keep PromotionShock going, I ventured out and bought XenForo because it has always seemed nice and ran great. So, I am in the process of revamping the XF forum to look like the old one. The only issue is that since the database was corrupted, I wasn't going to do upload it to the new XF one. So, all of our members and post are gone. However, I believe that PS will do better on XF and I will be looking for returning members and of course the new ones!

Shame the forums corrupted. I generally backup my databases on phpMyAdmin over what forum software gives you.

Oh well, best of wishes on XenForo though. It's a pleasure to run it, let me tell you.

Yeah, I know now to have a backup on phpMyAdmin lol 😀 But progress is going nice! We have custom read/unread icons instead of the regular ones. We also have some really nice features! Can't wait to open!

Hey Nation!

Well, i am happy to say that I got a hold of the member.sql file and I was able to pull up all of our members information and email them with their old username and their new password. So, if you were a member of PS before this whole error thing went on, so this:

Sign on with your old Username. Your password is abc123. From there, change your password please 🙂

Again, we are open. However, I have placed it under Beta only because I still have things to do on it before it is perfect!
