Proper menu buttons for phpBB (any site actually)

Hi, me again (sorry)

How to make proper mouse hover effect buttons? I think just using 2x png files (one mouse over, one not) + "...onMouseOver= "if (document.images)"..." script wont be good.

For an example, it's not working properly with Firefox 4 🙁

And it will make pages load slower!


Any tutorials, templates...?

Hmm... Good tutorial, but maybe you know how to make these buttons with 3 images (right, center, left) and then link text between?
