Providing a Unique Experience

I've got a young forum, the one in my sig. It's theme is the Ninja-Pirate meme, along with others like Vampires-Werewolves, etc. What I'm looking for right now (besides new members, wink wink) is something I could use that would be unique to the forum, something that we can offer that will bring people in and keep them there. I know some forums offer downloads, graphics, and stuff like that.

The only thing real unique I've got planned so far are team competitions among the factions. But it'll be a while before I can even think of running a contest.

How about custom profile fields that allows image tags? I've found that it really helps the theme of my forum.

I'm sure you could setup similar profile fields that would help in the theme of your site.

I find adding external plugins makes the forum seem more wide-open, and enjoyable. I installed an arcade, am going to install a wiki, and other things; just so there's more to do than talk on a forum.
