I'm really diggin' that theme, Luna. Love the forum. 🙂

I've actually been checking around as a guest for a little while. I would love to roleplay, but everybody has really long posts. I couldn't type that much in just one post, haha! I'm in your chatbox right now.

You should totally put up a search thread for an RP! Don't worry about the length, not everyone types long posts and it really doesn't matter if it's super long or not. ^^ Though, if you're hoping to make longer posts, PoW is certainly the place to find the help.

A lot has been happening this past month on the PoW Forums. Not only has the activity been phenomenal, but also there has also been quite a few changes made to the theme. You will first notice that there are two new items on the navigation bar, “Community” and “Contact,” both of which are drop-down menus. Within the drop-down menus, members and guests can find more information about PoW. You can now easily find your way to the “About Us” page, our awards page, our “Critic Recruit,” our Facebook Page along with our Twitter and more. If your drop-down menu does not show correctly, please press shift and reload your page at the same time to fix the error.

Thanks to the wonderful designers of Audentio Design we now also have a lighter version of our theme that members can easily change between via their user control panel or with the theme changer found at the bottom of the index page. The Critics also have new ranks and we hope that the PoWers will soon have new ones as well. Along with the new theme, we also have new editors to match each theme. They came out wonderfully, so make sure to make a new topic or reply to an old one to check those out!

We’ll see you soon at http://www.psychologyofwriting.org where we dive into the depths of our minds, to create something extraordinary.

The forums of PoW have been rearranged a bit. We have added some new sections, merged some old and moved around a few. Stop by today to see what we've done with the place.

In celebration of Psychology of Writing’s first anniversary, we are holding a special creative contest. We are calling all creative minds to come up with a way to express what PoW means to you and why. This can be in any form you desire; it could be in the form of art, writing, a video, song lyrics or anything that springs to mind. The winner will receive a $50 cash prize as well as a mention in the PoW Prophet and who knows maybe even a special award will be given to you too.

So make sure to join today and let us know what PoW means to you. Best of luck to all the contestants!

For full details, please visit the PoWiversary Competition thread.

Congratulations on leading your forum to its first anniversary. Also, congratulations for nearing 20k posts within the year, an all the more notable accomplishment due to the quality of content to be found at your forum.

Your idea brings to mind community builder Martin Reed's to use member testimonials of his Female Forum and selecting a few for display above the registration form (with a link to the rest in a topic), and also of the idea by Julie of Our Mom Spot to have a single member testimonial displayed in a "block" on the sidebar of the portal and index pages.

I am wondering if contributions given by your members for your contest might somehow be presented to guests like testimonials. Oh, what a cherry on top it would be for testimonials of your forum to be "form of art, writing, a video, song lyrics" or other creative creations.

In any case, I wish continued prosperity and growth for your forum, and the same for you.

Thanks for the fantastic idea, Medora! I'm going to start looking into good ways to go about utilizing your idea for when we start getting the creations in.
