It's a great forum, but the members that log in don't really post anymore.

This is our slow time of the year due to people being in school and preparing for the holidays. Activity will pick up again when fall and winter break come by. ^^

Glad to see your forum back up. You had me worried, as many a forum that is taken down for "maintenance" ends up in that state indefinitely. I keep thinking that if I ever suddenly bring my forum down like that I would have to edit the "maintenance" message with timestamped edits, provide my IM, or maybe a backup forum (which, if I correctly recall, you did), for fear of otherwise discouraging members.

Also, interesting choice to limit visibility of the shoutbox, but not remove it altogether. Reminds me of phpBB Communities' restriction of the shoutbox to within a forum.

Indeed interesting on the shout box as well. After I bought phpBBC we decided to have the chat on the index and in a separate forum. Pros and Cons to each. Guests can see but can't post.

I'm glad to have it back up! I debated changing the message, but couldn't really think of a better term to be used for what I was doing. But yeah, I made sure people had alternate ways of getting a hold of myself and keeping up with the progress (when I wasn't dealing with some family stuff).

I decided to move the shoutbox because after a while I felt it was getting more attention than the boards, so I'm hoping by moving it, the forums will get more attention and thus far, it actually seems to be going well. ^^

I can see a lot of pros and cons with having a shoutbox. I think it's beneficial to PoW--especially when people are trying to find role play partners.
