Does anyone know anything about getting books published?

I am writing something now which I have high hopes for. If I can't get it published as an actual book, I will at least create an e-book and sell it for a low price.

Who do you want to be published with, if you have any prefrences?

Any publisher, to be honest. Someone who doesn't take a ridiculous percent of the potential revenue.

Depending on the topic, if its decent in length and to English professors its structured correctly, I would get into contact with some Universities where they may have a publishing section.
