Pushing and Transferring?

Does it make a difference if I transfer or push? I want to push a domain to someone or transfer. Pushing seems a whole lot easier so I want to know if it makes a difference.

Pushing a domain will push it to another user on the same site, example - I am going to push a domain from my namecheap account to your namecheap account.

Transferring a domain is moving it to another registrar. Like, i want to move my domain from GoDaddy to Namecheap i would use a transfer, and it would cost me $9.90 or what ever it is now days.

Yeah, like antarctic said..There is a huge difference. You always push a domain if you are giving it to another user.

Usually when you transfer domains, the registrar makes you pay. I would assume it's the registrar you are going Away from.

Its the registrar that you are pushing to that requires you to pay up.
