In America, there's a Can-Spam legal act that requires you to put a physical mailing address as well as other contact info on email marketing messages (in the footer) in order to comply with anti-spam regulations. And, there are legal (as in monetary) consequences for not complying with this law. And, though i'm not sure if a similar law is in effect for other countries, most have their own anti-spam regulations. So let's say you are a small forum or blog owner and have a site newsletter. Would you include any of this information in your site newsletter or emails, if it were legally required? Or, would you consider it to be a privacy intrusion, at least considering how many site owners only have a personal address and not business address to list?

IF it were legally required I suppose yes. If you do not have a physical office that you run your business from and receive clients, there is not much sense in including it. With small/medium sized businesses, the email/online links are more than sufficient.
