Question about loading a back-up onto LP

Ok, I bought a phpbb3 back-up from a phpbb3 freeforum host and I want to install it to an existing forum I just installed on lunarpages.

How would I go about doing this?

What steps do I need to take? I tried to upload the backup to the "Store" folder where it looked like back ups where being saved at but I couldn't restore it from there. It wasn't even listed so that I could restore it.

Would I need to start my installation of phpbb3 over or what steps do I need to take?

I'm sure it is possible, if not then how can forums be transferred?

you need to import the database from phpmyadmin, then your forums will be fully transfered, don't forget to upload the template that was set as default on yourfree forums host.

once you have finished you need to change the server and cookies settings otherwise they wil point to your old free forums host and not your current one.

I tried to do when sa was hacked and make a temp forum but u get errors but it was done with http://www.promote4free.net so contact the owner -D-

Once you upload the backup ensure the config.php has the right table name and user and password otherwise it won't connect if they are incorrect.
