Question About Paypal

So, I have a paypal with a bit of money in it, and to use the paypal, I either need to verify it or attach a credit card.

My question is this: the paypal has my name on it, while the credit has my mom's name on it. On the page you use to link your paypal to the card, it has my first name listed but I can change it, but the last name isn't changeable. Can I still use my mom's card?

Also, will any money be taken off my mom's card or out of her account? Someone told me if I don't go over the money in my Paypal I've received from posting and stuff, no money will ever be taken from her card. Is this true?

Pretty sure it'll work, I've added a debit card on my moms name before and it worked.

You are correct Matthew. PayPal only take money from the account if you try to pay for something that is more than you having your account with PayPal. Also if you wish to have attached from your PayPal. You may request a check to be mailed to you from PayPal. But you may use a credit card with your mom's name on it but your name on PayPal. Only thing that they are looking at is the account at the bank. As far as I think. Just to make sure you might want to call PayPal to make sure, or send them an e-mail.

you may transfer the funds that you have inside PayPal to a bank account. Say you have $10 in PayPal. You may add it to your bank to make your PayPal balance zero.

Yes you may have your name on the PayPal and your mom's credit card name on her credit card. That's how my PayPal account operates. It's totally fine and works perfectly. 🙂

Yeah you simply choose payment the payment source when paying for something, it always defaults to your account funds first.

As long as your mom's last name on the card is same as the one you register with there should be no problem.

That is true, all the money in your PayPal will be used before any money be taken from the credit card. Also, PayPal will all ways give you a warring that stats money will be take from the credit card.

She has a different last name then I do where she re-married after her divorce.

I even i got this headache..!! but later when i added my bank account it was solved..!!
