I'm ranked 84th in google right now for the keyword "Gaming Forums"

I've checked the source code of some of the higher ranked sites and most of the either have no keywords at all or do not have the "Gaming Forums" keyword.

Curious as to how they are ranking so high.

It's because they optimize their links on external sites, eg. Search Engine. "Search Engine" is the keyword which is optimizing the link, google.com. So, those big sites have optimized links on other big sites, and millions of other links from users or general linkage.

Also, if Googlebot finds your site again, I'm sure Google will penalize your site for using hidden text, namely underneath "Welcome to the Get Down Gaming Forums" >> "gaming forums forums forums forums forums forums forums forums". Google will definitely penalize your site for that, and you may never be seen on rankings anymore.

In fact, keyword stuffing is another way to be penalized. You've used an unnecessary amount of keywords on your site, and the next time Googlebot comes, there is every chance that you will be penalized.

The big sites don't need 100 keywords on their site to have good rankings; it's mainly done externally.

Ah, similar or the same as using anchor text?

Yeah, I'm real new to this so thank you for stepping in and telling me im an idiot for keyword stuffing =)
