This might not be the right forum for this if it's not then please move it. But how many of you have ever started a forum on a subject you knew nothing about and how did you handle it?

I think starting a forum without the least knowledge of the subject is really a difficult task. For such forums you need to hire moderators to reply to posts made by other member, which signifies that you have to spend more bucks rather managing yourself.

I never have. But I'd research the topic, on the 'net. At least a little knowledge is required. I don't think you'll get far if you didn't. That's just a silly move, to make a forum based on a niche that you knew nothing about.
