Ok, so i have photoshop elements 5. Is that different from photoshop? Is it the same thing?

Elements is basically for editing photos with, completely different to Photoshop

Elements doesn't have layer FX. Get CS3+

It is in the perfect section, no one said we can't discuss.
Anyway elements cannot do mostly what CS3 does sorry.

nopes elements doesn't deal with layers as per my knowledge

Dear, dear... It does, of course it does.

Elements also lacks the advanced tools and filters, take the pen tool for example. Probably the second most useful thing, apart from layer FX.

Elements is not good really for graphics, mostly photo editing. I personally think CS5 is the best for both photo editing and graphics 😉

If you can't get a version of PS, get Psp or GIMP ; they're comparable in smaller areas but aren't as barf as elements
