I was wondering how many of you guys got more then 1 free domain during the 1and1 free domain promotion?

Now they have a debt collecter after me when they said I would not be charged... o.0 and I am under 18 so what do you think I should do?

I am over 18 & I got one free domain from them 2 months ago through their free domain scheme.

I got two more domains and 150 GB free hosting for $5 a few days ago from them.

So far no trouble to me and i clipped my verified paypal in their invoice

My paypal is verified, I just hate them, look up all of the problems people have had, its insane. They can't do anything though because I'm under 18 right?

Also my paypal is legal even though I'm under 18 🙂

Me and my brother both are using it since 2 months. (Brother is using 1and1 since a year i think.)
No problems so far though they didn't gave my friend the domain he wanted and wanted a lot of verifications so he gave up on it.

it does not matter if your under 18. if you 16 or older your responsible for your actions. if your 15 or younger you and your parents are responsible... but if you haven't had it longer then a year tell to back the hell off. ..

They cant sue me, i cant be binded into a contract, and debt collecters cant do anything so I think im good.

If they offered free domains, and you took the free domains they shouldn't be able to ask you to pay. You got the domains for free as they offered.

they can sue you. just to let you know. this is why people need to read the fine print

If they are sending a debt collector at you, maybe you should just pay as per their instructions stating that you only get a year or so free. You should not take something for free without reading the terms of service.

The problem is that It was one free, I got a few, they said as long as I removed all but one then I was fine, I did that, it hasent even been a year yet. How can you sue a 15 year old?

like a normal person because your are normal person . anyone could sue a 1 year old child if they wanted to. they would lose. but they can

Ok, well it says the most I can pay is what I owe so if they do sue me it will only be like 40 bucks or something.
