What do you think of the Appearance of the community
I rarely see this Burning Board forum software so it is a fresh look for me. The default set up is not bad, the theme is also quite pretty. The category/forum icons give a fun atmosphere with their colors, contrast to the plain background. The blue lines of the category titles can probably be modified by adding background structure or pattern, but that may not be a serious problem. I think it works as a starter theme. Later you can modify it based on certain popular series to draw fans in, but it is not bad.
What can we do to gain more members?
This is a tough question to answer specifically. To start with, a good first impression does not made of appearance only, but also content. It is great that you have started some threads, now the next step is to actually get replies to show that discussion is on-going. For this stage you can make use of beta members or post packages/exchanges option. Aside from that you may want to think about the kind of special content you can offer for the members. It does not have to be unique as it may be hard to do so, though. For example, a recommendation or review or the type of fun articles you see in
this website, for example. Maybe that kind of content can invite users in and enjoy discussion more. Do not hesitate to talk about many things and do not limit the advertisement/promotion to known places only.

If we talk about number only, I don't think there is any problem. However, the descriptions of the sections are rather confusing so it needs improvement. For example, both "Cinema Releases" and "Talk Movies" will have news about releases and upcoming productions? Are you sure to divide sections based on the platform the releases are on (cinema, DVD, etc.) or area (US, UK, etc.)? Lastly, the tagline of the forum says "Movies - TV - Music - Gaming", but I don't see a section to talk about music specifically. You do not need to branch out too much with sections in the beginning. You may want to focus on what you can easily contribute in and what may be interested for your target audience.
