I'm doing a bit of research for an upcoming website, and I'd love to get some information from you guys regarding TV Series. I would be grateful if you could just answer a few of these questions for me -- it won't take long, despite how lengthy it might look! =)

If no above, would you ever consider it? Yes, if it was a big well established forum and i had enough time i think i would, and probably be active on it.
What do you think about a website dedicated to many different TV Series, which gives information on the shows, actors, as well as downloading/streaming -- all on one website. Like the idea? Hate it? Don't care at all? I think something like that is a good idea, you would get a lot of people coming in and it would be a good forum to be part of, only bad thing is streaming/downloading is illegal so you would most likely get into trouble quickly.
As for the legal issues: I'll need to work that out, although if it comes to it we'll end up having links to outside websites without actually hosting the stuff ourselves. This seems more likely, but we'll see.

Yes. A TV series is a set of shows in logical sequence that typically follow some sort of storyline.

Yes.

How often would you say you watch TV series?
On average, I watch TV Series' maybe 5 or 6 hours a week maximum.

I enjoy watching both popular and un-popular shows. For example, I'm a big fan of The Inbetweeners, The Bill, My Family and other big series' that the majority of people watch, however I do enjoy watching some of the less-known series such as M*A*S*H.

Occasionally. Sometimes it's nice to visit a fansite to find out the history behind a show and learn a little more about the cast / crew.

I think it's more effective to have a separate fansite / website dedicated to one particular show. It's easier to manage, doesn't look like you're trying to take too much on at once and easier for the end user to undersrand.
That is true and it is a lot more work putting together a site that consists of multiple series, though I'm thinking of a system that I could use that could essentially set each Series apart, yet all be in one place.
I'm contemplating the idea of subdomains for each series (eg: http://house.mydomain.com, http://scrubs.mydomain.com). This way, you'll get the feel of a dedicated fansite while also being able to surf just one site for all of the information you need for other series' as well.
That's just a rough idea though, and it's being worked on.

I think it would be a good idea for a website. Kind of like a TV Guide, right? Although it would be nice to have sub-sites for each major show, such as 24, house, etc. I'd visit a site with this concept, though.
