Your Quick Review
Pros:Well you asked to only review the design etc, so here goes you overall layout is pretty good, you have the forums in what I would say is the correct order, the whole site is colour coordinated which is good to see, you have also asked for a review, to make sure its good before you launch. The forums imageset is modern and looks clean but is more generic than gaming.
Cons: The theme is rather plain and basic and nothing, I have not seen a hundred times before, you logo again fits the theme and genre of you site but is still rather plain and basic, the fact you are a games forum means you have a lot of competition and you really need to stand out from the crowd, look at getting a better theme and logo done to help attract members when you are ready to launch, also the login box is too big and does not look right
Final/General Thoughts: Still a long way to go before you are ready, you have got the basic layout ready you now need to get the theme/logo improved as I said in the cons bit of the website, there is not much more i can add other that little things like adding a favicon before you launch and getting plenty of posts and topics ready so when you open there is plenty for new user to reply to.
Maybe just me but Gaim forum? seems straight away that it is either spelt wrong or your trying to be different but for it straight away put me off your site.
What was most liked about the website/forums: the layout of the forums was well thought about and the descriptions were also good.
What was disliked most about the website/forums: the sites theme was basic as was the sites logo.
