Pretty, Customized Theme
One thing that pleases the eyes upon first visit is undoubtedly the appearance. Although it contains the standard color combination for forums of blue, white, black, and gray, it gives off a vibe of calm and easy. It is also supported by nice additional elements, such as category/forum icons, buttons, and rank images. To me, the current category/forum icons look great but can still be improved, especially to make it more related to 'AdminsVortex' and its content, or more customized to match each category/forum's idea to make it more personalized. For example, using tornado as the base image for the icon is a unique idea, though it probably needs more customization to make it related.
Few points I think can be improved on are the banner on the index page and the who-is-online box on every threads. The banner on the index page is non-clickable and repetitive of the banner/logo of the forum. To be honest, I am a fan of the banner and I prefer it over the line above it which contains your logo and some navigation menu. Those can probably be integrated into the lower banner to make it more appealing. The who-is-online box only takes half of the page width in every thread page. In forum display it splits space with forum permission information, which is okay. But at thread page it is all alone, and it gives impression that something is missing there.
Weaknesses:
A 'Miss' Layout
This is one of the most common weakness mentioned for forums in your niche, probably. The main concern about this point is actually related to the name of the forum. 'AdminsVortex: Webmaster Discussion, Tips and Support'. Looking at the forum layout only, visitors cannot really see the application of that motto into the organization of the forum. This potentially can be raised into concern of whether the forum is offering related content, which will be covered in the next point after this one.
Aside from the problem above, the names and descriptions of the categories and forums are not too appealing and unique. 'Promotion Vortex' rings pretty good and unique in my ears; I want to encourage the same effort put in giving a name to the general discussion area or the general webmaster area. Same goes into the descriptions of the forums. Take this description for example:
Aside from lack of variation in words choice here, there are also grammatical errors which can be improved on. (Favorite is relative due to American or British English, but 'hobbie' is not a word on either English, I believe.)
Lack of Unique Content
Again, another one common weakness of forums in this niche. By mentioning this point, I do not say that the forum's content is bad or in low quality. I see discussions are on-going, so at least the topics are interesting enough to elicit replies from members. Once more, I return and reflect the content based on the forum's title and motto/tagline. 'AdminsVortex: Webmaster Discussion, Tips and Support.' The content related to this, especially the tips and support, is yet to stand out to invite visitors and members in. It is also related to the layout of the forum which is yet to explore those points. The forum can act like a feed of useful, interesting tips from other websites or blogs related to website management which may be useful. Or you may even try to gather some writers to make unique articles for the forum. That, hopefully, will be more productive than the current system. The discussion topics covered are also still very general; they are yet to explore the world of webmaster. For example, from the topic of 'Wordpress for a CMS?', a further explanation and discussion about what CMS is can probably be beneficial for new webmasters.
Final Remarks:
AdminsVortex looks relatively new. To me, the forum needs to establish its identity first, especially related to the forum name and tagline. The activity is also still dominated by staff members. It is definitely a point to be improved along the way. Hopefully by finding the identity and preparing the forum's technical details and content related to the identity, activity will come along smoothly.
