Your Quick Review
Pros:
- Your banner is very nice. The pictures are really cool.The font also goes along with it very well. Plus, it fits your theme.
- You have a favicon. Those help people have their attentions drawn when viewing your site when they've added it to your favorites. A good favicon is always nice to have around.
- Your forum has a fluid skin. For people like me who use a large monitor, it's vital forum use skins that are wide, or adapt to be so.
Cons:
- If I'm not mistaken, you're running phpBB2. That software is SEVERELY outdated, and while I'm sure your host, Forumotion, has fixed up any security issues, they cannot have fixed the outdatedness of it. It simply doesn't conform to modern standards. It lacks many features, and let's face it, just looks plain old.
-On a similar note, I'm sorry, but your skin is horrible. The amount of black and gray is overwhelming. The image legend is not transparent. NOTHING is curved at all - it's all boxy. The color scheme isn't great, etc. It just does not look like what a forum should look like in 2010.
- Your activity is really bad. 3 members in almost a month…not impressive in the least. You should have at the absolute least 100 posts on your board by now.
- What is with your forum layout? It's huge! You have way too many forums. Bug Reports and Suggestions could be merged; and I'm sorry, but there is not going to be much discussion for "Air Launched Missiles", "Air Launched Rockets", and "Air Launched Torpedoes". You can merge all three of those, etc. In general, a lot of your forums can be consolidated and you can shrink your board index.
- None of your forums have board descriptions. This makes things overly confusing. It also makes the index look very bland.
Final/General Thoughts: If you plan to stay a forum for long, you need MAJOR changes.
What was most liked about the website/forums: Not much, basically that you have a few good image-elements.
What was disliked most about the website/forums: Everything else.
