Strengths:
Tender Loving Care (Universal)
One thing that I noticed while going through your forum is that you are constantly updating and adding new content to your website. This is one of the best (and worst) things an administrator can do for their forum. It only becomes bad when the forum is filled with your posts and none from the community, but I don't think you need to worry about that right now. Just wanted to commend you on the care and quality of updates you put into your site. Keep this up, and your community will always have an admin that cares about the website. 🙂
Weaknesses:
The Awkward Icon (Forum)
So this isn't too much of a big deal, but the style you have has a few minor glitches that can be very annoying. One of which (shown below) is your new topic icons for subforums. This may seem like a very small issue, eleven by nine pixels to be exact, but it can have a tremendous impact on how a user's eyes view the forum. I kept being drawn to these icons, purely because they were not flowing with the style. My suggestion: take the little icon into photoshop and delete the white background. Save it as a PNG and use it that way. (PNGs are transparent). If you wanted them to look even better, consider adding an adjustment layer and make them gray-ish. Just a suggestion!
What Is It? (Universal)
So the title of this negative may cover everything that I'm about to say, but I'll elaborate a little. What is the site about? I mean, it's very difficult for me to tell. Your front page mentions that you are a community that brings people together, and you give a few things to talk about, so I assume that you are a General Discussion community. However, when I visit your forums, I don't see a variety of forums that I can post in. I don't see much to indicate what your main focus is about. I would suggest focusing in on that more. Give your community a reputable slogan or statement that solidifies your purpose. Doing so will greatly help new members understand what they are getting in to.
Your Blog
Just to get something clear real quick: I don't want to immediately say that your blog is a weakness, I just don't think it's a strength. My main point behind this paragraph is going to be the fact that I'm not sure how well your blog is going to work out without: 1) Your identity clearly established (i.e. What your website is really about, therefore what your blog is going write about) and 2) A staff ready to write for you. A blog is very hard to maintain as one person, especially if that one person is currently administrating a forum and busy building a community. So, if you do intend to keep your blog and develop your site at the same time, I highly suggest you hire a writer or two to upkeep your blog. After, of course you develop an identity!
Final Remarks:
I decided to focus more on what you could improve and what you should start thinking about. You've got a nice looking forum, and enough TLC to one day have a massive community at your fingertips. I apologize that this review was rather short, I feel as if I didn't have much content to work with. I highly encourage you to continue with your forum, and take what I said into at least consideration, with no offense intended at all, of course. 🙂 Good luck with your forum!
