Heya Lunar! I just wanted to say I hope you enjoy the review! I'm not sure how long it's going to be, mostly because of the amount of content on your blog compared to forums I usually review. I'm going to try and stretch it out as much as I can though, so enjoy! 🙂
Strengths:
Great Theme and Layout
The theme of Fel's Photos features a relaxing ocean view at the top, followed by a simple beige body background. The banner fits in almost perfectly with the background. The menu bar seems a tad too tall in my opinion, but I'm not sure how it would look smaller. Just about every aspect of the style falls together (and I love playing with the share buttons at the top!). I've never seen the blog style that Fel's Photos boasts, and there is no trademark at the bottom, so it's safe to assume it's premium.
Great Pictures and Categories
I haven't seen many photo blogs in my time, but Fel's Photos is a good first for me. There are a good variety of starter photos lying around. I would say that more galleries would be nice to see. In addition, you seem to only have one photo in the "Food" category, which may be good because I just ate and I don't want to be hungry again. Hehehe, anyway, this is pretty much to compliment you on your quality of content as a whole. While there may not be much content at the moment, the quality isn't bad, and your pictures are good to look at. 🙂
Weaknesses:
Awkward Bottom Spacing
At the bottom of Fel's Photos, there are two large spaces on either side of the "Latest Photos" column. One of these spaces (left) is home to a column named "Proud Member Of," and contains five image-links below. The only problem with these links are the spacing. None of the images are lined up, and none of them are constistant in position. If I may suggest, take them into Photoshop or Pain.NET and get them all the same size; or even better, make all of them one image that you can center the image and it would look much better! If you know what I'm talking about. 😛
I know that Felicia was talking about using the right column space as ad space, and I mentioned that was a good idea. If I could change that now, I would almost say it's a necessity. There is a large open space with no content whatsoever and it looks a little awkward. It would be a good idea to find something to fill that space to avoid the lop-sided feel 🙂
Final Remarks:
I apologize that I only touched on three points instead of four, but I couldn't seem to find another negative. Fel's Photos has a unique foundation established and it's ready for content. There are only minor flaws (such as the large space at the bottom) that can be worked on before adding more content. Other than that, all you're missing is an active content stream and you'll be A-Okay! 🙂 Super good luck with your blog!
