Pros:
- I like that fact that as a forum based on hockey, you stay on target with your forums theme. Your site is hockey and lives and breaths hockey, to many times I see for example a car site, it has 1 section on cars, one on gaming, one on TV and the list can go on. Its ok to have a general section, but the fact the main focus of your forum is hockey is nice to see your on target.
- The forum is well presented and well organized, you seem to know how to run and make a forum based on what I can see. You might have a few to many sections on the board for only just starting, but if you think you can keep it active, then go right ahead.
- Your theme looks great, it’s a very nice look and has good appeal to your forum. I’m not much of a hockey fan but I can say, its easy to see the hockey in your site with the nice style and theme you have added.
Cons:
- The chat box up the top to be honest gets real annoying, as it blocks the whole top of the forum from view. I would recommend either getting rid of it, or if you still like it maybe move it down to the bottom of the forum.
- Your topic descriptions lack any real style, all they say is the bare minimum to quickly state what that section or topic does. Try adding some style to your topic description, its much better then this section is this, and it does this.
- Also seems like most of your posts comes from you and your staff members, you need to get more actual members on your site. Stirring up activity is good yes, but getting real hockey fans onto your site would be even better for your forum.
Final/General Thoughts:
Your forum is off to a strong start, get some more active members, and do a little more advertising and you should be sitting pretty.
