Your Quick Review
Pros:
- Your skin is very festive. I like it. It's good to get your forum skinned for the holidays. It's very inviting for everyone, and shows that you have spirit.
- You had good spelling and grammar in your board descriptions. There were only a few errors, but they were very minor, and I don't think the majority of people would notice them.
Cons:
- You should get a custom domain name. Not many people like those subdomain addresses free hosts give you. I think you should, if you're devoted to this forum, get a custom domain name.
- Your way for choosing staff is not good. Trusting anyone with 25 or so posts with a staff position has got to be the worst way to pick staff. First off, only hire when you need staff. Having 3 forums devoted JUST for staff applications isn't a good idea, at all. Just PM a member inviting them to staff when you need them.
- "Report a member" and "Report Authority" is a very bad way to have a reporting system set up. Believe me, it will come back to haunt you if your forum picks up activity. Reports should be anonymous, not public for all to see. Most forums come with a built-in reporting system, I've never used SMF, but surely there's someway better to do it.
- Your forum is named "Chatting Time" but most of it's some sort of promotion forum. That's not a good idea. You don't really offer many services at all, and you'll never make it with a promotion forum like that. Trust me, I've reviewed COUNTLESS promotion forums, and they aren't going to really become popular. I don't want to see your forum go down that road.
Final/General Thoughts: You can still fix your forum while it's new. I want to see your forum succeed, and not just die out like so many others.
