The Forum Layout
I will be honest, I struggled to find the strengths of Seeking Social, although this one for me was the most obvious. Each of the forums have a very nice, lengthy and clear description to them to ensure that there are no confusions. Also, I found that they were in very logical order, the site information category coming first and then the rest of the board following up. However, I think that "Site Information" needs to be changed to "The Community" or something along those lines as the "Meet & Greet" forum isn't site information and could confuse some visitors, even if it isn't likely to do so.
Weaknesses:
The Apperance
I won't sugar coat it, so here it is. When I first saw the forum, I hated the look of it. It was something about the theme's colors and look, there was a side tab called "Latest Activity" that wasn't even serving a purpose and the navigation links had little shapes floating above them for no reason, unless it was to make them more noticeable. The scroll bar was a completely different color to the theme which looked awful and the footer seemed to be a bit cluttered with the Forum Stats. I must finally add that the forum icons gave off a little ZetaBoards default theme vibe, a theme that is very, very ugly..
The Activity
This is one of the things that can drive many visitors away and prevent them from joining up, along with the look of the forum: The Activity. Things with the post time "yesterday" or "23 hours ago" (or less) look fine but when you start to see the date, month and year that's when you should worry about it. 6 of your forums had those kind of post times and it makes the activity looks bad. I think maybe encouraging posting in the inactive looking forums would be a good idea, although the inactivity in Meet & Greet cannot really be helped unless someone joins up or you add a hot seat.
Final Remarks:
It can be hard to run a site like Seeking Social, because of how many forums Seeking Social there are. However, with hard work, you can get Seeking Social up and running. I think that a theme change and more content posting would be a good step forward. I wish you the best of luck, and I apologize for the wait to finally get this review.
