Your Quick Review

    jrd9p3.webpPros

+ I really like your banner, it's fun and great looking. It's a really great entrance to the forum! I would say that something like this would turn on potential members!

+ Your stats are fairly good for a forum of your size. You're getting around 2,519 posts a month which is very nice in my opinion, so hold this amount per month and your stats will grow quickly.

+ You have eight posts per thread (average which is good, but this gets made a lot higher than it really should be because of some posts like the count to 5,000 posts thread).

+ It's good to see you don't have heaps of staff, four is a good number for now and I'm sure over time your staff team will grow at a sustainable rate.

    21agta9.webpCons
- I believe you should split the forums games from the general discussion board, for the sake of making your board look clean and professional. Although you may want these threads to be seen early on so people post in it and your post count goes up, it does look a bit messy.

- The main admin's profile is telling me that he averages around 3-4 posts per day. This is quite bad and is showing not a lot of dedication. Two of your staff members are averaging under/around 1 post per day. Staff sometimes keep a forum going, more dedication to posting might mean you will get more posts and members in the long run who decide to stay active. The most active member has an average of 9 posts, this is triple what the main admin and other staff members are achieving.

- Personally I think the login/register board  at the top of the forum is a bit unusual and not really required. You could probably make something of higher quality and put a notice at the top of the forum, under the banner. This will look a lot nicer, but it does come down to personal taste.

- Your board has 14 posts per member. This is quite a draw back from all your previous great stats because it shows members are signing up, posting a few times and leaving or not even posting at all. A way to make these stats better is the exchange board here at FP, but if you want these stats to go up, you will be wanting to request quite large posts, example 50+ otherwise people coming and doing 10 posts as an exchange won't make these posts per members stats budge much.

    13yh2c5.webpFinal/General Thoughts

Your forum seems to be quite good, but the activity from the staff is a major draw back.

You should be proud of...

Some of your members are very active and are making a good contribution posting wise to the forum.

You really need to work on...

How much the staff post. They need to post more for the sake of the forum.

Score - 5/10

Is there a reason why this is listed under "Con"? This seems more of a personal opinion (considering the use of "I believe"). For the particular forum you're talking about (The Lounge), the post count does not count there. The fact that post counts don't increase for that particular forum is stated, on the thread listings page as well, so I don't know what you're talking about regarding "post count going up"

Oh and the reason I don't have another forum just for forum games is too look professional. Having another forum just for two-three threads is unacceptable and a waste of space.

The main admin's profile is telling me that he averages around 3-4 posts per day. This is quite bad and is showing not a lot of dedication.
The amount of posts one make daily does not reflect dedication. I found it odd you even compared the two. I come home after work and it's the first thing I do. I honestly find it insulting you're telling me that I show lack of dedication.

This will look a lot nicer, but it does come down to personal taste.

It does come down to personal taste, so why is it listed as a CON?

Honestly I'm not happy with this review, to put it bluntly all you've done was visit my stats page, staff profile pages, and The Lounge and list the numbers. Was I expecting more than expected?

By post count going up I mean your overall board stats. Unless my maths is wrong the general board is still making a difference on the overall board post total.

The main admin's profile is telling me that he averages around 3-4 posts per day. This is quite bad and is showing not a lot of dedication.

I know we all have our lives and all that, but your forum has been open for a year, I just expected this stat to be a lot higher. I'm sorry you feel insulted.

I'm saying it will look a lot nicer not like that, but that comes down to personal taste.

I'm sorry you're not happy with the review, but I went over some of the things I thought were some key points which might help you. A quick review is generally not about the whole board and every aspect, hence the name short review.

Once again I'm sorry, I'm sure another member of staff will come online and decide what happens, whether this gets re-done or what.

Thanks.

It makes more sense now.

Is there some sort of one year standard that I'm unaware of? As far as I know the growth of forums is not something you can predict or calculate. I guess I'm sorry my forum stat wasn't as high as you thought?

I'm saying it will look a lot nicer not like that, but that comes down to personal taste.
Yeah I know what you're saying, I'm asking why it's being listed under CONs if it's your opinion. Unless I have it all wrong and the CONs is also where you put your opinion down?

but I went over some of the things I thought were some key points which might help you.
I will be honest and state that the post count of some staff members are unacceptable to say the least.

Also what are the standards or grading chart regarding the final/total score? Or is that just something you just make up on the spot.

You've got to remember we base all our opinions and what we say off of what we've been through, I've been on forums where the admin never posts and ones where the admin does. Overtime we learn what has worked/hasn't. Though not every forum is the same and I understand your frustration with this.

I'm talking about your personal taste 🙂
