Your Quick Review
Pros: I was impressed straight away with the theme and layout of your blog, the colour scheme is nice and clean and it seems to blend in well, your content is very well written and I enjoyed reading it, I went through the blog about website wars and found no spelling errors which is very good to see. The navigation around the site was easy thanks to the navbar at the top of the screen, Was also impressed to find every page had some content on as there is nothing worse that visiting a site with empty pages.
I did notice a couple of grammar issues: little things like readers instead of reader’s and a sentence could had be worded better as it was a fragment so instead of it saying "An example being a slide show at the top without ads, and music below" it would have been better saying "An example would be a slideshow at the top without ads and then the music below."
Cons: If I was to give you some constructive criticism in would be on the following things;
The first would be the site title, it tells users who you are and what you are about but it could do with a make over instead of just being some text, if at all possible I would look to improve this.
The next thing that I wasn't overall keen on was the rather large RSS icon, this space here is prime advertising space, you could easily move the rss icon to the opposite side to the search box and then have that area free to sell for advertising. I Do like you ad boxes but they need filling as it will make your site look more used and professional, consider giving winners of the website war one of the boxes for a week or until the next winner, I will give you extra kudos with them and also drive traffic to and from your blog.
Final/General Thoughts: Overall I really like your blog, I can tell you have put a lot of work into it as it shows by the excellent content, I gave you a bit of constructive criticism, this is no way a bad thing it's just little things that I think could help your site grow and be better and I hope you take it as such. Keep up the good work and you will have a very good and popular blog.
