I've only got 2 Gigs loaded into my laptop - it's all it will physically support. Unfortunately, the OS (Windows Vista Home Premium) could take another 2 gig, which is a shame because I could really do with at least 1 more.

How much of the stuff have you got?

I got 3 GB RAM at the moment, and its ok, normally being at around 50%ish. I also have windows vista and its on a laptop.

I am too embarrassed to post how much RAM i have -redface- -lol-

That is one of the reasons i am getting a new laptop -happy-

512Mb, or have you got the low of lows at 256mb DDR? ~razz~

I have 256mb of RAM -redface-

I have finally had enough with it and have been saving up to buy a decent laptop which actually loads something within a minute.

I have only 1 GB of ram and I am running Vista. It is okay since I mainly use my computer for surfing the web, e-mail, and writing stuff.

On this deskop I have 1GB of RAM, running Linux Mint. It's not slow in the least, but then again it's Linux...

The laptop i'm getting for my graphic work comes with 4GB RAM and Windows Vista Ultimate Bonus, so it'll be fun to see how it handles it ~lol~

Hey look who it is.. -lol-

I have a gig.. I need some more though. It gets a little laggy after a while.

Seems that most new computers don't come with anything less than a gig these days, excluding the new netbooks which don't need any more than that. In the Vista user manual I believe it requires at very least 512MB, however anyone knows anything about Vista knows that won't do well with Vista.

I had issues with my fully loaded XP with a gig, try running Vista with anything less is asking for trouble ~razz~

I am going to get a Mac Book Pro within the next year or so! I will not matter what. They are built for the graphic design work I do. ~wink~

I have 2GB DDR2 600MHz at the moment, but i may get another stick of 1GB DDR2 600MHz. Im pretty sure that the XP 32bit edition can hold 3GB, i think if you need more thats when you need the 64bit edition.
