Random Windows 7 Error?

Ok, well I booted up my computer today, and when I logged in it said "Logging in" then it said "Preparing desktop" which only happens on set up.

When it got on, it was in the windows 98 scheme with no icons and it said "Could not find desktop" with the path to it or whatever. So I went to start and shut it down, upon restart, it has worked. Has worked since then.

Is this something to worry about?

No, I think windows was downloading an update but I am not sure. I was busy trying to figure out this freggin OS.

Maybe it was a problem with the update, the update files were corrupted, or didn't fully download/install.. see if you're able to run windows update again.

Oh I did. It downloaded and did it's thing when I turned off the computer recently.

Ok well I just noticed that, I got off work, and when my computer is off for a while, it says desktop.inc or whatever is unavalible.
