Do you think that ranking are going down for forums and blogs?

One of the site's that I run is going good and my secound isn't going good but not poor. It has changed allot since 10 or 20 years ago

I don't think so as I believe is good keyword selection and optimization techniques. Good content will always help your forum or blog to rank higher in Google.

Guest posting is the key to ranking your site extremely well. Get to know a high ranking blog in your niche and make friends with the owner of the blog and see if you can write an article that will help the blog owner and then see if you can include links that direct back to your site or forums.

This is one of the best way I found that is the most effective way of getting your site ranked.

I'm not sure how a forum can rank considering you cannot police a forum's grammar, spelling, and unique content.

I don't think that they are going down, if anything smaller forums are sadly stalling out due to social networks taking advantage of having groups and other sections for members to join with a click.
