What are your forum's ranks? How many posts to members need to get there?
Do you have creative titles for your ranks or do you just have standard ones you would find on any typical forum?

For the forum that I'm developing:

Young Writer (1 - 50)
First Draft (50 - 150
Second Draft (150 - 300)
Editing Stages (300 - 500)
First Edition (500 - 1000)
Sequel (1000 - 1800)
Trilogy (1800 - 2500)
Bestseller (2500 - 5000)

From past experience, by the time they get to ''Sequel'' they've done something stupid enough (and rarely - beneficial enough) to warrant an embarrassing custom title. 😛

Well I have staff ranks and then two member ranks, Registered User and Newly Registered User. I don't see the need on my forum to any more then that.

For "UserTitle Ranks" I have:

Apprentice Entrepreneur,
New Entrepreneur,
Entrepreneur,
Experienced Entrepreneur,
THE Entrepreneur.

As i use a mod that displays both group and posting ranks i have two sets these are my group ranks:
Admins
Mods
Contributors
VIPS
Registered users

and these are my posting ranks
Yet to post: 0
New poster: 5
Casual poster: 50
Active poster: 100
Regular poster: 250
Frequent poster: 500
Top poster: 1000
Valued poster: 2000
Super poster: 3000
Mega poster: 4000
Elite poster: 5000
Posting whore: 7500
Posting legend: 10000

For some reason, the host I'm with has a "Newly Registered Users" rank, and I find that pretty pointless. All new members were on Moderation Queue, and that got tiring, so I changed hte permissions just so so that new user and regular use were the same thing. I don't know how many posts are before a person gets to the next rank. I think once they obtain the rank of Registered User, they have that rank for the duration of their stay.

On my TopGearForum the ranks are
Can't drive 0
- Learner Driver 25
- Getting Know 100
- Waiting for my Driving Test 100
- Full Licence 400
- Top Gear Fan 750
- Experienced Driver 1000
- Professional Driver 2000
