Description:

What if Renaissance Europe were not just about men serenading girls at night and women in fluffy court dresses? What if the Sidhe really did exist and the Holy Graal sat in the Queen of England's throne room? What if the Brother's Grimm stories were not just tales, but a journal of encounters? What if the Brother's Grimm stories were not just tales, but a journal of actual encounters and the Viking Runes were words of power? What if the Black Plague wasn't just some disease? And worse, what if you were charged with knowing a truth so profound it would bring the Catholic Church to its knees, but the last ones who spoke of it were executed for heresy? In the world of Theah, such things are all possible. Sorcerers wield fire, shape shift into animals and rip bloody (literally) portals into thin air to step through to another part of the world. Swordsmen fight duels, win wars and even go on epic treasure hunts to discover artifacts of an ancient race from long before. Mystery, excitement, action, adventure and romance all are possible in the world we call Theah.

In a nutshell, Rapier Wit is a forum that revolves around the idea of an alternate Europe setting during the Renaissance era. However, Rapier Wit is NOT EARTH. Mostly, because in this world, it is possible to encounter a monster, a ghost or other things unexplained. While we draw similar ties from historical events, the reasoning behind them may not be the same as what they were... historically speaking. And, if you're ridiculously unlucky, you might find yourself facing a dragon or the mysterious 7th Sea itself.

The world of Theah is highly stylized following some romanticized and cinematic viewpoints of history, throwing in some stereotypes and elements from famous literature roughly set somewhere along these time-lines. Each European country is specifically molded to fit its historical styling, mixed with some secrets that shall not be revealed in this little blurb. Set loosely during the Renaissance Era, it combines elements from Renaissance history, fantasy, period literature and movies, mythology, spy/mafia games and (to potentially give away a trade secret) even a dash of sci-fi mixed with Indiana Jones styled treasure hunts in the form of relics, monsters and fabulous searches for artifacts from an ancient time.

Swords. Sorcery. Secrets.

Retell history like you have never heard it before!
