I've never sued anyone. My wife and her family on the other hand sued their neighbors. Her parents own a chicken farm. The neighbor's dog got loose and killed up to 20 of their chickens. My wife went out there and killed the dog while it was in the act. Afterwards, the neighbors harassed them and wouldn't cover the loss. They took the neighbors court, sued them, and won.

I've never sued anyone. I've wanted to sue the hospital over a billing issue I had with them the other day.

For class action lawsuits, you don't have to be the one doing the suing, you just reap the rewards later on. Right now State Farm is getting sued and my husband is eager to get the money, but I'm thinking we'll probably get a dollar or two after the lawyers get all their money.

I don't really remember, but it was something to do with life insurance policies.

I have, a few times. I could've gotten a 3rd one, but that one requires a lot from me. I was the affected party. Management was stupid.

I've joined a few class action lawsuits. Basically you get a few dollars here and a few dollars there. By joining the class, you give up your right to sue them yourself, but that's not likely anything I was going to do anyway, so whenever I get notified that I am eligible to be part of the class, I opt in.

I'm not a fan of insurance companies. They rip a lot of people off. They're a real problem in the US where it concerns the medical system.

Sometimes you're automatically included in some, like with my State Farm one, and they send out info to "opt out", which I never do.

Maybe I’ve been in some unknowingly then, because I’ve certainly never bothered to opt out. 😛

Haven’t received a dime either way though.
