This is something that Plato (xpl0iter) and myself were discussing a few months ago- registering holderhost as a limited liability company in New Zealand.
In terms of tax purposes, it shouldn't be a problem. We have been reinvesting profits from holderhost back into the business and will continue to do so- holderhost is a long term project.
Do you think it is worth doing this? Would it make holderhost more credible? Should the registered company be HolderHost Ltd or something a little more generic (perhaps Holder Ltd) which could encompass other sites?
I believe you should register Holder Host as a company as more people would trust it. It would also help with any legal problems, even as simple as a chargeback on PayPal.

I don't know nothing about this, but this one sounds reasonable enough. Anyone would be willing to shell out a few bucks for hosting if they knew the company was a reliable one, so I think registering as a business would probably be a good idea and maybe even attract new clients as well.
If you're doing well, then I say go for it, it'll definitely make your host more credible. My brother and I registered our company LLC and haven't done anything so it was a waste of money, he kind of just did it without thinking, lol.
In terms of limited liability - it wouldn't matter that much because we don't have any "contracts" as such. The main reason why we are unregistered is because Plato is in his mid- 20s but I only turned 18 3 months ago. I, therefore, couldn't be a director of a company which would make it difficult to set up in NZ.
hahaha have some more confidence, to be honest I think it would be a good idea to register the company it's standard operation procedure for most businesses, it would also cover you legally incase any disputes or complaints arise.
Register it if you feel you have commercial promise. You'll have to do a bit of admin & basic annual accounts. Apart from that & registration, it's not very expensive in itself.
