Do you like forums that when you register you have to validate it by going into your e-mails...?

Not really although i can understand it if they have spam issues like invisionfree forums although if a phpBB3 has it enabled then it is annoying as there is no point really as spammers can't sign up.

I hate forum with admin validation -evil-

can't invisionfree forums have CAPTCHA then
on my friend's IF forum it was quite funny because a person kept registering on ONLINEPHARMACYCHEAPPILLS or something like that.
It didn't really matter as it was only us who were active members (Mark from hireem and driver from advertisement centre joined but never stayed active)

I am not sure but the CAPTCHA some IF forums do have can be easily worked out by bots. Some i sign up for don't have any CAPTCHA -n-

Well i use to understand it on phpBB2 but on phpBB3 i hate it when forums have it enabled!!

I don't link it since I don't really want to go and open my hotmail inbox all the time.

I don't like verifying it also, but I can understand why people do it. Most spambots can get around it though.

I can't stand admin validation, but I don't mind the activation emails. If a forum I register on has admin validation, it usually takes anything from 1 week to over a month or more for my account to be activated.

i dont like it but i use it on my forum so i know i am less likly to get spam bots 😛

Alot of spambots now use gmail emails as people won't ban people signing up using gmail addresses so there is alot more chance of the signing up.
