Is there anyway I can reinstall windows Vista without a recovery partition or disc? If not, does anyone know where I can get hold of a reinstall disc?
If your PC or laptop hasn't already been formatted previously and it didn't come with a disk you should be able to do it via itself?
When restarting it try hitting either the ESC/F1 F2 F3 etc until you get the right screen that will guide you through the formatting process, some systems have to be done via a specific program file, there may be a .exe file that will start the process.
What is the make and model of your system?
It's a Laptop. It's Windows Vista, about 2-3 years old.
Don't understand half of what you said.
No you need a install disc to be able to reinstall vista.
However if you can describe the problem you are having which makes you want to reinstall I can assist you.

that failed for me, try pressing f8 or f11 (cant remember which) when turning on you pc
I think you mean you want to install windows but you have lost your recovery.
Follow the on manual procedure for recovery, pressing F4 or F8 when you boot might drive you to recover.
If not...
Contact the laptop company with the receit on hand, and tell them your problem.
If not...
borrow a windows cd from a friend and install it with YOUR serial number, not your friends.
Good luck
There should be a self-recovery at startup 😛 Press some keys but I forgot which. Google restore computer maybe.
