It's been a while since I last released a phpBB style.

When I saw Jasonp selling a fairly tidy Wordpress style in the Marketplace forum, thought I'd take the opportunity to grab it whilst it was going cheap and convert it into a phpBB style.

Really nice looking style... Makes me wish i could be bothered to learn how to make styles and make graphics -lol-

Looks stunning Christian , i can see this being a popular style nice work man -D-

Nice style Murder, looks awesome -happy-
How long did it take you to learn how to make stunning styles like this? The quick login box is what I think makes this theme even better

I definitely agree with you there.

Thanks for the good feedback everyone ~smile~

@gimgak: Once you know HTML & CSS it pretty much takes only a few hours to get the hang of styling phpBB. To make good styles you only touch a few files, being overall_header.html, overall_footer.html, colours.css and if you want to get really creative index_body.html and forumlist_body.html

phpBB's styles are structured in a much nicer way than other forum softwares, which makes it easy to open the HTML files and edit them, as opposed to say vBulletin where the majority of styling is done via Admin Panel.

Like I say, once you know xHTML and CSS it's only a matter of time before you can start knocking up decent phpBB styles. If you are going to learn, I'd suggest using subsilver2 as a base for your styles to begin with as it's table based and there's some pretty advanced CSS in Prosilver.

Ahh thanks Murder, I've been thinking of learning CSS for some time, just need to find a place to start. Funny how styles can be easy to make, yet mods are pretty hard to install -razz-

Well, when you think about it installing MODs is pretty much a case of going copy / paste. Contrary to common belief, they're actually really easy to install once you get the hang of it.

To start learning CSS, click here and work your way through the lessons. Or if you're up for a challenge you can download some free CSS templates and butcher up the code <- that's how I learned ~lol~

Installing mods is the easy part... It is getting it to work i find the problem. There always seems to be something that stops the mod working properly like a bug or something.

I love the quick login feature, overall quite a decent style, impressive that you edited that from a wordpress style.

Hope you make more styles as your one of the best phpBB stylers out there.

I tried styling once, my biggest issue was the CSS (I was doing prosilver). It wasn't that it was hard or anything, just confused me a bit. I could probably do a better job now that i've done more CSS, but I don't have a need to make a full style yet. I might try my hand again this summer once I get my netbook, i'll probably have spare time at baseball games that I can "work" ~lol~

Ya know what they say, if you have no internet access, fire up XAMPP and Photoshop and make a style localhost ~razz~
