Some of you may remember ReliableAds.org and some of you probably have no idea what I am talking about. For those of you that do know and remember RelialbeAds you know that it didn't end very well....
After discussing with an old administrator about RA and how it went out with a crash and burn due to what we thought was a database corruption so we all gave up on it and I ended up selling the domain off to someone that ended up parking the domain.
After discussing about it for a few day's we decided it was time to try and make a comeback. We immediately started rounding up the old staff members and so far most of them are very interested to come back.
While doing all of this I actually happened to stumble across one of the database backups i had made for RA at the beginning of 2009 and figured it was worth a shot trying to upload. So i did and come to find out the database had 4 megabytes of data on it. So I converted the database over to the new forum software we are now using and we are doing quite a bit of Renovating with every service and all the organization, we are going to work on taking our time rebuilding.
We actually managed to recover all 139 members and 9,500 posts from the database! It is just a matter of getting it all back up to speed now 😎
The renovation started Saturday January 2nd at approx. 4 P.M. CST and we have made a lot of progress!
I will continue posting updates here on ForumPromotion to keep everyone who is interested up to speed on the latest.
