Remember Invisionfree, free forums.

Indeed, I do. It's what started my forum journey when managing online communities. I discovered it by asking how message boards were created on a vBulletin forum, and someone provided me with links to a bunch of forum software services, including InvisionFree. My first message board was a Yu-Gi-Oh TCG message board, then I became more invested in the software, and eventually wanted to learn to code, which is where my coding journey began. Now I own a well-known resource board for the Jcink software. Most likely, the software you'll find most similar to InvisionFree.

Here's me when it was on ZetaBoards: https://web.archive.org/web/20180720135807/http://support.zathyus.com:80/profile/32664/

2005 sure was a long time ago.

Here's the largest forum I've owned to date, which started on InvisionFree: https://web.archive.org/web/20120905165200/http://bigboardsresources.com:80/index

Last I checked, "InvisionFree" is now a porn site. 😕

I was also well known coded on that for addons like extensions. But when it stopped I lost all interest but I remember the css I think.

I can’t remember right now it’s on the tip of my mind. I was heavy in customisation of themes and mods. Like html and css, php and JavaScript.

The first forums I ever made were on InvisionFree! I pretty much had no idea what I was doing, but those were good times. One was a gaming forum, and the other was a Pokemon forum.

Yes, I remember InvisionFree myself and had some forums with it, even if they were crappy and I was a noob then...

One of the best communities I ever joined was hosted in invisionboards. I didn't particularly favoured the software but some very passionate communities were there back in the day.

I definitely remember InvisionFree, but by the time I started using forums and looked into owning a forum of my own Zetaboards was up and running. Sure InvisionFree was still around, but most people moved to Zetaboards. It really sucks what happened to InvsionFree and Zetaboards. Jcink is still around at least and it's the closest you can get to InvisionFree.

Did you know invision brand kept some forums online. I think they made a break through on code and it was worth selling the software for a premium.

Those days are long gone. It was the perfect platform to build on back in 2004. I miss those days, I mainly hung out on the support forums, IFSkinZone and IFStyles before it was deleted. Its what started my journey in forums and building on the internet.

Yep, I do.. it really sucks that the owner sold out, and to Tapatalk, no less, which has since been brought out by someone else and now admins are fleeing the service..

But I'd advise that no one visit the old domain now, unless they do so via the Archive..

At any rate, I do remember IF, and it was a good service, I just wished that they'd add features to it like other IPB hosts did just as Jcink, SpreeBB, and even IPBFree did.
