Remove all posts from a category

I wish to remove every post from a certain category, but without deleting the category or posts. Is this possible?

That plugin actually deletes the post itself.

They have be in a category, every post has 'Uncategorized' as their default one. Until you create a new category of course.

My posts are in multiple categories.

Go into the post (edit through the admin panel) and on the right hand side it will ask which category you want them listed in.

Yeah I know that, but I wanted to remove multiple, rather than doing it one by one.
