Re: AdminForum.org For Sale

That says you have a reserve of $1000 and expect more, to be honest it isn't worth that, phpBB communities sold for a third of that.

Secondly how old is the Xenforo Licence, you became a member on Feb 12th, that means the licence cannot be transferred yet, if I remember Xenforo's T's and C's correctly.

You are also advertising for a lot of staff, the forum looks good, and appears to be quite successful, which makes me wonder why you want to sell it ?

Re: AdminForum.org For Sale

Apparently some one thinks so he's got 3 bids though I do not see it worth that much.

I saw that, he has to get the money though, they could be ghost bids, those bidders have bid on quite a few sites, so don't appear to be genuine.

Re: AdminForum.org For Sale

I have to agree with sapper on this. I'd say at the very most half of what the price is at the moment. The alexa rank is also not very high with that premium domain which is quite shocking. The database isn't even HUGE (like couple thousands of posts). Anyways good luck getting a buyer at that price.

Re: AdminForum.org For Sale

I was wondering how there were so many posts since the forum opened. But looking through off-topic real quick, there are duplicates of almost every thread. I went from page 37 backwards.

Re: AdminForum.org For Sale

I would agree with MeSingh on this...this forum has near 90,000 posts on XenForo.

If you had that you could be making A LOT of money off of it from ads if he got it active. You guys really have no idea what you're talking about when you say it's worth $300.

Re: AdminForum.org For Sale

He already stated he's not giving the license to the new owner. Anyways, I forgot to say this but.

How much money are you making from the site at the moment?

Hmmmm, did not know anything about ghost bids.....interesting.

Re: AdminForum.org For Sale

Ah well if there's no license, that takes away a good $200 since you have to install and buy it yourself. And even more if you have to have it switched to vB or IPB for instance.

Re: AdminForum.org For Sale

You guys seems to be more of trolls to me.

Have you even tried to read what i have wrote on the sales page or even checked the listing carefully??

I have got genuine 3 bids with the highest bid of $1000 and we had conversations before getting the bid so they are not bots or something like that.

If you guys have ever owned a successful forum you would have known that a form may have posts like this. If you check any big forum you will see a lot of posts like this in past which came from forum merges and databases.

The theme itself is worth $300 and the database is at least worth's over $500 excluding the premium domain, traffic, activity and PR.

These things play important roles in pricing if you would have cared about it.

A potential buyer would have readied all the details and asked for more if needed instead of trolling the listings.

So better you stay away from this thread if you are not interested.

If you check things carefully you will sure see its worth 😉

They are from some merges. We merged promotion stadium and megavictory forum with us and maybe they have similer posts like us. The databases were huge and it has not possible to check each and every post.

I know but the license is non transferable. So it is basically not in my hands.

You are wrong and that is an insult, you are expecting people to spend $1000 +, they are entitled to ask questions and query things

I have got genuine 3 bids with the highest bid of $1000 and we had conversations before getting the bid so they are not bots or something like that.

Those bidders also have bids on at least 20 odd other sites, which suggests to the cynical that they are just trying to bump up prices

just checking through the membership, in the "A's" I would reckon 80% of the members have 0 or less than 10 posts, there are a fair few spammers in there as well, merging databases from inactive forums does not give you an active forum, it gives you a forum that APPEARS to be active

The theme itself is worth $300 and the database is at least worth's over $500 excluding the premium domain, traffic, activity and PR.

You may think the theme is worth $300 because that is what you paid for it, that is not the case, Ok the database may be worth $500.

This is not a ready made successful forum, making money, if it was, you wouldn't be selling it.

We're doing our due diligence, which is exactly what Flippa wants its buyers to do. I've bought several websites from Flippa, and while it doesn't make me an expert, I certainly know what I'm talking about.

I've owned successful forums that didn't need to boost their post count by merging. Nothing wrong with doing so, I'm just saying. If you're going to assume things, don't. Instead, do your "due diligence" like I stated earlier, like I am.

These posts are duplicates. They are not similar. They are the same.
I would have left this alone, but seeing as how you just insulted everyone in this thread, I'm gonna go ahead and do this.

And I think we all get the point. I can point out literally hundreds of these examples, but obviously I'm not going to take the time to do that - you can take a look for yourself.

I don't know what your definition of "successful forum" is, but IMHO, this is not.

I'm not trying to stop you from selling the forum - I don't care if it's sold or not. You just have to realize that when there are money transactions of this size, there will be questions. Deal with it without insulting people, and you might just make a sale.

I don`t know if i did right or wrong but when i am in a bad mood these things happen to me always.

With no more consequences and talking i am closing this for here.
