I am considering getting rid of Adsense on Admin Community. Would this be a good decision? Reason being that throughout March not one person has clicked the ads and also it means I can't do traffic exchanges like EasyHits4U. 😛

Very tactfully put but yeah I probably am going to remove it 😛

Traffic exchanges give you hits but on forums they tend not to get you any members what so ever. They are good though if you have a referral link on a PTC site or something like that.

Yeah, if nobody has been clicking the ads, then it's pointless having them up there.

If no one clicks it get rid of it. I keep it on because some days can be okay. Like so far today (8 hours into the AdSense day) I have had 3 clicks but made £1.72. A few more of those today and I might be able to make £3. £3 a day is £80 a month. A won't complain lol

That's cool if adsense is working for you Cloverfield. I've been contemplating what ad host to sign up with to start from with my forum if/when I go paid hosting. $80 a month isn't bad at all.

If your traffic is too low, removing the adsense and replacing it with something more valuable is logical.

As for the traffic exchanges - from my experience the traffic from them is for the most part worthless. It's nothing but other webmasters also desperate for traffic who won't actually sign up for your forum. Google shares that opinion on traffic exchanges I imagine. The adsense is far more valuable than traffic exchanges IMHO.

*Correction: There was one exception to the traffic exchanges. That was BlogExplosion - they only allowed blogs to join, so it was actually fun doing the surfing. Over the years, the site has been bought/sold and the community that was there doesn't seem to be intact anymore.
